Hi everyone. My name is Rebecca Matthews. I am a domestic violence survivor of 25 years. Most people would say it must of not been so bad to have stayed for so long but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Towards the end, I was tired, beat down and couldn’t take anymore so I started the plan to end my life and I was literally at peace with my plan. I won’t go into details but I will say that I’m so happy that I didn’t go through with it because I would have never known what it felt like to be happy and to be loved like I am today but most important I found out that I was stronger than I ever gave my self credit for. I wasn’t a victim , I was a survivor and if I could live through so many years of that kind of misery then I could conquer anything and that’s how Glow Girl Was born!
